Evans is within the Weld County School District Six. As of 2008, zones elementary schools serving sections of Evans include Centennial, Dos Rios, and Heiman in Evans, and Bella Romero Elementary School in unincorporated Weld County. Middle school students are zoned to Brentwood Middle School in Greeley and high school students are zoned to Greeley West High school in Greeley. There are many excellent higher education opportunities in and around Evans, graduating nearly 70,000 students in almost 500 fields of study, including Colorado State University, Front Range Community College, the Institute of Business and Medical Careers (IBMC), and College America, Aims Community College and Regis University, all within commuting distance.

Shopping & Entertainment

Evans location is adjacent to Greeley, which has a vibrant downtown with numerous boutique shops, patio restaurants, art galleries, music venues, theater companies, and an independent movie theater. The Greeley Mall has been redeveloped and houses many national brand retailers including a multiplex theater. The Greeley Commons Shopping Area includes local and national retailers as well as restaurants and services. Other shopping can be found to the west at The Promenade Shops at Centerra, a regional outdoor mall which also features a multiplex theater, restaurants and a wide variety of shopping.  North of the Promenade is The Ranch Events Complex, which includes the Budweiser Events Center featuring a national concert venue and the Larimer County fairgrounds. 

Are you into sports? Check out CSU Ram’s division 1 football and basketball teams, or the Colorado Eagles ice hockey. Just an hour drive south are the Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies, Denver Nuggets, and Colorado Avalanche sports teams.

Recreation

With Colorado’s 300+ days of sunshine per year, residents in Evans enjoy spending their time outdoors. There is much to do with access to Greeleys recreation center, Youths Sports Complex ballfields, Ice Haus, waterpark, municipal parks, and golf courses.  take a short drive northwest of the city to Poudre Canyon, Lory State Park, and the Rocky Mountain National Park for camping, hiking, biking, rafting, and fishing.  Between Evans and the Rocky Mountain foothills are hundreds of lakes, several reservoirs and rivers, all available for the outdoors adventurer. Head further west for easy access to skiing at Steamboat, Vail, or Breckenridge, all located within a three-hour drive.

Arts & Culture

Evans has access to The Union Colony Civic Center which contains Monfort Concert Hall, Hensel Phelps Theater and The Tointon Gallery for Visual Arts. Each year there are many performances including plays, dances, comedy routines, and other productions. Both the Greeley Chorale and the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra perform here. Ft Collins, Loveland and Longmont boast many cultural opportunities within a short drive. An hour south in the Denver metro area are a multitude of arts and cultural venues to embrace all interests.
