Security-Widefield is an unincorporated community located in El Paso County, Colorado, United States. The area that would become Security-Widefield was first settled in the early 20th century, as a part of the Pikes Peak region’s boom in population and development. The area was mostly agricultural and was known for its small farms and ranches.

In the 1950s, the Security Land Company purchased a large tract of land in the area and began to develop it as a planned community, naming it Security. It is known for its well-planned neighborhoods, high-quality schools, and extensive recreational opportunities. The area is also known for its proximity to the city of Colorado Springs, providing residents with easy access to the city’s amenities, and the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, providing an abundance of outdoor recreational opportunities.
